Syllabus plan/Content: | - Quality as an overall operational task (terms, liability law, competition and cost factor quality); - QM system (objectives and content, standards and guidelines, development and introduction of a QM system, auditing and certification); - methods and tools of quality management; - Teaching of quality techniques; - Application of statistical methods in quality assurance. - Case study exercise |
Learning Goals | |
Subject-specific skills and competences: | After successful participation, students will be able to establish, introduce, maintain, audit and certify QM systems. The focus is on the development of a conscious customer orientation of the QM system. The students receive information as well as practical examples on the importance of a holistic quality concept. The students can apply preventive methods to implement the minimum requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001 and in particular various techniques for quality assurance. |
Generic competences (Personal and key skills): | After successful participation in this module, students are able to develop solutions for complex problems based on theoretical foundations and to implement them. They are able to make adequate decisions to further develop the problem-solving process. They are able to extract knowledge from different areas and combine or apply it in an appropriate way. The students have learned to methodically develop solutions to problems both in a team and individually. These problem solutions require initiative and creativity. The students are able to lead professional discussions and to communicate the results of their work accordingly. They are able to recognise essentials, process them accordingly in a structured manner and implement solutions. They are able to discuss the results of their work with both experts and laypersons and to present them successfully using appropriate presentation techniques. They have the necessary willingness to perform and commitment to be able to deal with complex problems. They have become familiar with the basics for entrepreneurial decisions. |
