Learning and teaching methods:- Interactive lecture with presentations and joint work/development of conceptual approaches for management systems
- Exemplary deepening of topics through practical application of individual instruments/tools of the management system, working in a team
- Independent development of substance complexes, research
- company excursions to the management systems under consideration

Syllabus plan/Content: 1. Principles of management systems
- Development of management systems
- Development of ISO standards
- Definition of management systems
- High Level Structure (HSL) for management systems

2. Types of management systems according to HLS
- Establishment of quality, environmental, energy, occupational health and safety and information security management systems
- Derivation of a correlation matrix for management systems
- List of questions for management systems in practice

3. Excursions into regional practice or internship
- Implementation of QMS
- Implementation of EMS and EnMS
- Implementation of AMS
- Implementation of ISMS

4. Practice colloquium with poster presentation

Learning Outcomes:
Subject-specific skills and competences:After successful completion of this module:
- students can explain the structure of a management system according to the High Level Structure and the DEMING cycle
- the students are able to explain the individual requirements of chapters 4-10 of the High Level Structure in detail.
- they are able to define important terms of a management system with confidence.
- they can explain the objectives of a quality, environmental, energy, occupational health and safety and information security management system as well as the specific standard requirements resulting from it.
- they can identify commonalities, synergies and conflicts of objectives between management systems and develop ideas for exploiting synergies and avoiding conflicts of objectives.
- they can define with certainty what an integrated management system is and argue what advantages it has over separate management systems.
Generic competences (Personal and key skills):After successful participation in this module, students are able to
- recognize essential information, process it in a structured manner and develop results independently.
- to extract knowledge from different areas and to combine or apply it in a suitable way.
- scientifically process the results of their work, discuss them with a specialist audience and present them successfully using appropriate presentation techniques.
