Learning Outcomes:

---- ENGLISH

Graduates are able to explain and contextualize current issues in various areas of human-computer interaction (e.g., mixed reality, gaming, ubiquitous computing).
They are also able to plan and conduct user studies and to evaluate and assess the results.

Graduates possess the ability to comprehensively examine and discuss problems by considering economic, ecological, social, and legal aspects beyond purely technical issues.
They continuously expand this comprehensive knowledge and apply them to develop holistic solutions.
In doing so, they are made aware of the diversity of scientific theories, models, definitions, tools, and methods, enabling them to recognize that, depending on environmental conditions, there are different technical solutions available, in which technical, economic, ecological, and social issues must be considered equally and potential conflicts of interest must be resolved.

In addition, graduates are able to apply subject-specific research methods in a meaningful and systematic manner.
They can explain the possibilities and, in particular, the limitations of these methods and use this knowledge to make a nuanced assessment of the problem-solving approaches they have identified.
Their increased familiarity with these methods enables them to tackle new areas of work with a high degree of flexibility.
In this context, they are also able to use standard simulation software and apply appropriate simulation methods to solve a variety of problems.

Graduates develop problem-solving approaches using established creativity methods.
They not only justify and critically assess the solutions they have developed, but are also able to incorporate valid criticism from others into their assessment and use it to improve their solutions.
They examine solutions developed by themselves and others in as holistic a context as possible and evaluate the consequences of past decisions in order to apply this evaluation to their future actions.
Furthermore, they independently apply and implement the requirements of scientific work.
They possess theoretical knowledge of established methods of modeling and abstraction, which they use to formulate and answer scientific questions and to develop practical solutions.

Finally, graduates are well-versed in the current state of the art within their areas of specialization, are able to make informed predictions about future trends, and can identify related problems.
They also possess a sufficient thirst for knowledge and curiosity to independently conduct comprehensive literature reviews that meet academic standards.
They can systematize the results of this research and present them in a way that makes them usable for their own purposes or for others.

---- ENGLISH

Graduates are able to integrate knowledge from a wide range of fields in order to systematically and methodically analyze and evaluate complex problems and develop potential solutions.
They analyze and abstract technical problems based on known and unknown constraints, assess the solution space (unsolvable, unique solution, multiple solutions), and derive actionable recommendations based on this assessment.

Another key characteristic is their communication skills: Graduates can present the results of their work in a clear and comprehensible manner and defend them appropriately, whether in exams or during presentations of project and course papers.

In terms of social skills, graduates work effectively in small groups, demonstrating strong teamwork skills, self-organization, and conflict resolution abilities.
The consideration of interculturality arises automatically from the heterogeneous composition of the student groups.
They are aware of the specific requirements and responsibilities that arise from assuming leadership roles and are capable of taking them on.
In particular, they are capable of offering criticism in an appropriate and constructive manner to improve the outcome of group work.
This ability is closely linked to their capacity for reflection and for facilitating complex opinion-forming processes, enabling them to develop consensus-based solutions even when there are starkly differing perspectives on issues.
