Study courses at Zittau/Görlitz University are mainly offered in German. For successful study in one of our degree programmes, it is essential that you have a command of the German language equivalent to at least level B1 (non-degree seeking students) or C1 (degree-seeking students) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Please consult the self assessment grid (available in English and German) to check your own language level.

However, we offer a certain number of modules where English is used as the language of instruction. The decision as to whether an English module is held in one particular study year is made on a yearly basis.
